Mountain Photography

I love mountains, I cannot express how much I do. The alps are just awesome. I know we have mountains in Scotland but as I always say you have to travel miles to get there, then walk miles to get to the base and climb to get decent views and vantage points. Whereas in Austria, they are there - in your face - and they have wonderful things called cable cars or chair lifts to take you to the views and vantage points. Much more civilised.

I might love mountains but I have no great desire to climb them or walk very far along them. I like looking at them, photographing them and painting them.

I like mountains, I really do. Still to do a successful painting of this. I have tried...

Could almost be a citadel in the clouds.

Looks like a wonderful time for a trek, but looks can be deceptive.

A bit more dramatic but still deceptive. The clouds kept rolling in and obscuring sight for us and the climbers. Still fancy a walk?

I love the light and shade on this one. A beautiful shot of a beautiful mountain. Still wouldn't want to climb it though!
